Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about research-use-only peptides, reconstitution, third-party testing, purity, storage and stability, shipping, and returns. All materials are designated strictly for laboratory research and analytical investigation.
Peptides:
What is the best way to store peptides?
Lyophilized peptides should be stored at +4°C. Under these conditions, most peptides are stable for up to 6 months. After rehydration, aliquot the solution and freeze at -20°C to -80°C. Rehydrated, frozen peptides are typically stable for 3 months. Please avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
Peptides containing Trp, Cys, and Met residues can be easily oxidized and are therefore less stable.
What do the numbers in parentheses, e.g. (7-26), mean?
This signifies that the peptide is a fragment of a larger pro-hormone or protein. For example, (7-26) would mean that the peptide includes the amino acid residues 7 to 26 of the named protein, starting from the N-terminus.
What is the longest peptide sequence you can make?
112 amino acids. It depends on the complexity of the peptide. Please contact our experts for further details regarding custom peptide synthesis.
I cannot see the peptide in the vial. Is something wrong?
Most of the time, a fluffy white powder can be seen, which is not necessarily the peptide itself but salts. If nothing is visible (common withs smaller quanitites), the peptide is still there and we recommend to intensely wash the vials walls with buffer, vortex and centrifuge.
What is the minimum quantity required for a custom order?
Minimum quantity for a custom peptide is 1mg. We can produce orders up to kg scale.
Can you label my peptide?
Yes. We routinely label with Cy3, Cy5, FAM, FITCH, Rhodamine, Biotin, I125 or Stable Isotopes. Besides our 2000+ labeled catalogue peptides, we also offer custom tailored labeling.
Delivery Time:
What is the delivery time for peptides?
We deliver peptides within 1-3 business days of the order if they are in stock. For custom peptides, it depends on the sequence and difficulty. Typically 2-3 weeks.
For international orders or orders placed through distributors, lead times may be longer.
What is the delivery time for labeled peptides?
For non-radioactive labeled peptides, we typically deliver the product in 3-6 business days. Radioactive labeled peptides are made to order and take 1-2 weeks to deliver.
For international orders or orders placed through distributors, lead times may be longer.
What is the delivery time for antibodies?
We deliver antibodies within 1-3 business days of the order.
For international orders or orders placed through distributors, lead times may be longer.

What sample types can be used?
Any biological fluid with peptide levels in the detectable range can be used. For example, plasma, serum, tissue homogenate, CSF, and saliva have all been successfully assayed with our EIA/ELISA kits.
Do you offer custom synthesis or wholesale?
Pricing reflects direct sourcing, independent quality verification, and streamlined domestic fulfillment rather than reduced documentation standards. All listed materials are supported by batch-level analytical documentation where applicable.
